Stephanie pulled her sweater tighter and yawned. The gray light filtering through the low rain clouds made her cold and tired. Her daughter ran into the room.
“Look at my picture, mommy!”
She examined the drawing. Red raindrops falling from puffy clouds were sprinkled across the page filled with colorful flowers and stick people.
“Very creative!” She ran her finger across the crimson dots. “Why did you make the rain red?”
The little girl pointed at the window. “Look outside.”
